Well this time I am making a similar pour as the acrylic and media mixture, but I am using "All Purpose White Glue" as the main mixture media. And also adding Pearl Ex pigment powder into the paint mixture for sparkle.
Basically the same process as the paint and Jo Sonja and distilled water, but this time using glue and Jo Sonja's mixed into the paint and then thinned to a free pouring state by add Jo Sonja's flow media as required. Then I add the Pearl Ex powder and mix everything thoroughly.
As with the last time I also add some silicone spray before dumping out the paint mixture.
What I forgot to add to the last post was when you torch the panels the heat from the butane torch causes cells to appear in the mixture. I have also successfully used a heat gun at a high heat setting to get the same effect. The heat gun also moves the mixture around on the panels.
The panels are 4" x 6" white Gesso covered artist panels.
When I applied the resin covering (Art Resin) I torched the top making sure I did not get too close to the panel and suing a circular motion to move the torch over the panel.
I may frame these panels. The Pearl Ex powder does really show up nicely
See you in the Workshop!
